Hello Mr. Iyer,
You can visit them on the same day, it' not impossible. However, you should plan your trip based on the timings of the temple. The temples are closed from time to time to maintain the temple premises clean. So, you can visit one jyotirlinga in the morning and another in evening. This is needs good planning and sticking to the plan. I would personally suggest that you may keep Ujjain as your base but visit the jyotirlingas in 2 different days. So, that the journey won't make you tired and you can enjoy the surroundings of Ujjain on one whole day and visit Omkareshwar on another day. There are lot of other places to visit in Ujjain like the ashram where krishna and sudama studied together. You will need a guide to accompany you to visit such places. Also, Ujjain may be expensive as it's a tourist destination. So, you may also consider to stay in Indore. I was there in a Guest House so I have no idea about which hotel is good in Indore or Ujjain. Sorry about this.

I want to visit omkareshwar and mahakaleshwar (2 jyotirlingas) on one day. Is it possible. Is it OK if I keep UJJain as the base. Any recommended place of stay at Ujjain?
Best wishes

I recommend that you combine google maps with a mobile translator http://home.interlecta.com . If you get lost or you want to ask for the direction, it is always good to have something like that. The translator has been a friend in need is a friend indeed to me many times.

Hi Joreel.
When u have tested it do let me know your opinion. I only tested it with some Indian languages and found it doing a better job than Google Translation and Yahoo Babel Fish.
