Also if you want to improve your experience get a dedicated NVIDIA graphics card. There are always problems for a newbie either on Windows or on GNU/Linux. However, now good desktop interface is available with GNU/Linux. Also, there are many application softwares available for GNU/Linux which are similar to those running on Windows. So, now there is little difference in terms of user experience between Windows and GNU/Linux. My opinion, It's good for new user to try Linux(have to choose the right distro for ur needs). @Satish
